I was born as the third of five children in a pretty active family, and it‘s no wonder I got in contact with diverse sports very early (alpine skiing, ski jumping, cross-country skiing, biking). I skied the first alpine slopes at three years of age and soon became a member of our local ski club SV Achomitz / ŠD Zahomc. At the age of five I had my first attempts on a ski jumping hill, a 5 metres hill in our neighbour town Achomitz.

I was also a very enthusiastic cross-country skier and therefore it was clear for me, to combine these two sports and become a Nordic combined athlete. In childhood and adolescence I started to compete at local and national competitions. I was admitted into the Austrian Ski Team, right after I achieved my first results on the national level. This way I was able to use all the benefits of professional training and support with my first Ski Team coach, the prior Nordic combined athlete Konrad Winkler.

My school life I associate with double stress. It was very demanding to perform well in both, school and sports. Nevertheless I graduated from high school in 2007 and became a junior world champion. Ever since then, I‘ve been a member of the A-Team in the Austrian Ski federation and competed in the World Cup.
